Donaldsonville Fire Chief Chuck Montero spoke highly of responders during the historic flooding that occurred recently in Ascension Parish and surrounding areas in south Louisiana.
During Tuesday's City Council meeting, Montero took time to recognize the crews who assisted flood victims.
"They represented us very well," the Fire Chief said.
The crews utilized boats and helped with response efforts every day in the aftermath of the flooding.
Also during his monthly fire department report, Montero said the two fire trucks are well-equipped.
He said the trucks have "most everything we need.
The trucks are equipped with defibrillators, though one is aged and will need to be replaced soon.
Montero said both trucks are nearly equally equipped, as both have extrication equipment on board.
