5th Annual Small Business Power Week Schedule Released
Participate in the 5th Annual Small Business Power Week. Events will take place virtually during the week of May 17 – May 22. The week-long event will showcase programs and services to help small businesses grow from idea to expansion. Saturday, May 22, focuses on Women-owned Businesses. Also, women business owners are encouraged to participate in the Women in Business Virtual Conference featuring speakers, demonstrations, and services available to women in business. The free week-long activity is hosted by the Microbusiness Enterprise Corporation of Ascension (MBECA) and is a collaboration with the Ascension Economic Development Corporation, the Louisiana Department of Economic Development, and Leadership Solutions. During the weeklong event, MBECA will be teaching aspiring and existing entrepreneurs on how to get certified for the Louisiana Economic Development Small and Emerging Business Development, Hudson and Veteran’s Initiatives Programs. These certifications offer technical assistance and training opportunities for those who qualify as part of the State of Louisiana’s commitment to grow and retain small and emerging businesses in the state of Louisiana and has special emphasis on rural business development.
