Cancer Screening Day in Donaldsonville

On FRIDAY, MAY 20 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Woman’s Hospital, the Gonzales Area Foundation, and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center will be offering BREAST, COLORECTAL, PROSTATE & SKIN CANCER SCREENINGS. CALL TODAY TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT: (225) 425 – 8034. The screenings will take place at the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office WAGUESPACK CENTER at 1201 MAGINNIS ST., in DONALDSONVILLE. FREE SCREENINGS ARE MADE POSSIBLE BY DONOR GIFTS. Screenings are free if you have not been screened within the last 12 months. Insurance will be billed for mammograms. For those without insurance, there will be no charge. Colorectal cancer screenings consist of distribution of a take-home colorectal kit, which requires a stool sample to be submitted for testing via mail.
