The City of Donaldsonville released its call for business plans for its Deliver Safe Business Plan Competition to be held virtually on October 15, 2020. The competition winner will receive a grant for a new business to assist the community in getting goods and services in a contactless method. Competitors should submit a business plan identifying the business service, plans for marketing, management, and financial feasibility. Competitors can get assistance by contacting the MBECA Small Business Development Center. Finalists will present their plans virtually to a judging panel, and the winner will be assisted with up to $10,000 to start the delivery service business. The program is funded through a partnership of the Grills Fund through the National Main Street Center. Donaldsonville was only one of five Cities to be awarded the grant in the United States.
