City of Donaldsonville Historic District Commission Approves Row House Revitalization

New Developments Along Lessard Street Bring Promising Reinvestment

Private investor begins reconstruction on historic “row” houses on Lessard Street. Tenetian LaFarrah Hall, owner of 618 Lessard Street, has proposed a complete historic restoration of the property on Lessard Street inspiring new and ongoing development in the targeted area. The historic row houses on Lessard Street, identified as “endangered,” were recently acquired by a number of investors who plan to revitalize the structures as rental properties in the city. Future restorations in that community are forthcoming. Mayor Leroy Sullivan, in conjunction with the City of Donaldsonville Historic District Commission have awarded a Certificate of Appropriateness for the plans for reconstruction by Quest Construction, a locally owned contractor company owned by Tyler LeBeouf. Included in the picture, from left, are Doris Hall, Tenetian LaFarrah Hall, Mayor Leroy J.
