SECTION 8 HOUSING RENTAL ASSISTANCE

On Friday, May 12, 2023, the City of Donaldsonville will accept names for the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program Waiting List. Due to the limited number of families and/or individuals that can be assisted under this program, the City will accept only the seventy-five (75) callers. The callers will be sent preliminary application in order to be placed on the waiting list. Only the callers who return the proper paperwork will be placed on the waiting list. 

Only one ( 1) applicant/family per call will be accepted. 

Interested person(s) should call this number only

(225) 397-3992 starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023. No calls will be accepted prior to 9:00 a.m. or on a different day or phone number. NO WALK-IN REQUESTS WILL BE TAKEN. This program is for VERY LOW INCOME FAMILIES or INDIVIDUALS. 

Only HEARING IMPAIRED person who require special telephone equipment may submit a written request for admission to the waiting list for the City of Donaldsonville Section 8 Program, c/o Roberto Macedo and Associates, 213 S. T. J .. Jemison Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70802. Documentation proving the Hearing Impaired status will be required. 

Applicants from outside Ascension Parish will be required to relocate to within the City of Donaldsonville or Ascension Parish in order to receive this assistance. 

Once on the Waiting List, the following local preferences will be given: Elderly and/or Disabled Head of Household.
