In order to be awarded a City of Donaldsonville Construction Permit for projects located with the City of Donaldsonville Historic District, an application for a Certificate of Appropriateness must be submittted prior to constructing, deconstructing, or renovation when working within the identified boundaries of the District. This includes roof repair or replacement, tree trimming or cut-down, paint, or fence installation just to name a few actions. Failure to obtain approval prior to starting work may result in a fine.
